How to ensure the stability of a folding paper box?

2025-12-05

Key factors for the stability of a folding paper box:

1. Rational structural design:

Utilize a double or triple-layer structure to improve the overall rigidity of the box.

Reinforced grooves or chamfers are provided at the fold lines to prevent excessive concentration of creases that could lead to cracks.

2. Selection of paper material and thickness:

Use high-grammage corrugated paper or special cardboard, typically with a grammage of 250g/m² or higher.
Improve the paper's moisture resistance through moisture-proof treatment or lamination to prevent deformation due to dampness.

3. Precise folding and gluing process:

Use an automatic folding machine to ensure fold line position errors are within ±0.2mm.

Use hot melt adhesive or high-strength adhesives, and perform double-sided gluing at critical joints.

4. Comprehensive quality inspection and testing:

Conduct stacking strength, drop tests, and dynamic load tests to ensure the box's compressive strength during transportation.

Monitor folding accuracy in real time using a machine vision system to promptly reject defective products.
